That would depend on what registry you want to show with. If you want to do AKC, then you need to look for an AmStaff. Many AmStaff's are still dual registered with UKC, so you could show both registries if you wanted (I do). If you get a UKC registered dog, and only that, you'd only be able to show UKC. Most APBT's that show conformation in UKC are very AmStaff looking.. they aren't the ADBA type dog.

The AmBully & SBT are completely different and you should easily be able to tell what is what once you do more research

If the breeder is just calling them "Pit Bulls", I'd probably steer clear.

Or if he is calling them "blue nose" steer clear!!!!!

Kharris you need to determine what breed you want. DO you want an Am Staff, A UKC American Pit Bull Terrier which in all sense and purposes is not the same as an ADBA American Pit Bull Terrier. Or do you want an American Bully.
