Well now that Rosie is adopted I can finally take a much needed break from the animal shelter. I'm just burnt out. I'm tired of seeing all those dogs in need of a home watching them wait for months, even years to find one. I promised Rosie I'd see her through this. Now that I have. I'm taking a few months off from helping out at the shelter.
I'm going to be spending more time focusing on my dog, than a bunch of other dogs. I admit my Sasha hasn't got nearly as much attention from me as she is used to since I've been spending time at the shelter and focusing on Rosie and getting her adopted. Its time for me to spoil my own dog and spend some real quality time with her. |

Many of you know I've been working so hard to find Miss Rosie a home. She is a wonderful dog that has spend most of her life in a shelter. She was thrown out of a moving vehicle as a pup a little under a year old. Been at the shelter pretty much since. She is probably between 2 and 3 years old. Probably closer to 3. She has been at the shelter most of her life. Unfortunately she is full of energy from being penned up all the time that when she does get to come out to meet prospective owners, her energy I think kind of scares them off. Apparently being a pit bull mix and having a lot of energy isn't going well for her. She was adopted once a few weeks ago and returned due to no fault of her own. Her new owners dog didn't warm up to her. They had Rosie maybe 5 days. Didn't give either dog time to adjust.
She is a fantastic dog who I've spent lots of time with. And she has the potential to be the best dog ever. I know this dog and she will be nothing less than the most loyal companion to whoever gives her a second chance. Anyway what I am asking of you is, i know we are all in so many different places. We've got to get this dog out of the shelter and atleast into a foster home, she will never be adopted if she keeps sitting in that kennel. She would benefit so much from consistency and exercise. She gets the basic commands but she doesn't have consistency so she tends to forget. All I am asking is I have some flyers for her and if you know of anyone that might be willing to adopt or foster to adopt. Or if you know any breed rescues that might take her and give her a better chance at adoption. And you would like a flyer to send out. Please PM me and let me know. We got to get this sweet girl adopted. She has been sitting in that shelter way too long and she is too good of a dog to have to spend her life there. How can anyone say no to this precious girl! ![]() ---------- Post added at 10:21 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:17 AM ---------- Again if anyone wants a flyer please let me know. I can upload it and send it to you via PM. All I ask is you forward the flyer to anyone you think might be able to help. ---------- Post added at 11:14 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:21 AM ---------- Sorry to keep bringing her up. Its just I made her a promise and I can't break it. |

If anyone knows of any Bully Breed rescues even that could pull her. She has been in this shelter way too long. I don't care if its in Hawaii. Please send them a flyer. I can upload one to you! Although I know most shelters/rescues won't pull a dog out of state it seems. Or adopt to anyone out of state, which sucks because no one in this area is going to adopt this dog. Most people in the town where she is its seems prefer fru fru designer dogs. Which is why no one is interested.

Well we have flyers up at the community college, at the bullitin board by our mailboxes (She could actually live here just not where I am moving), My friend put flyers up where she lives and a few people she knows who own businesses let her put a flyer up in their window.
Also she now has an ad on Craigslist for people to check her and the other animals out at her shelter. I'm having to get creative, any suggestions? If I knew of any good breed rescues I'd send them a flyer too |
