Default homemade antler chews
I was wondering if anyone has made homemade antler chews. I have a few old sheds and i was thinking about just cutting off the points and sanding the edges. Is there anyother thing i should do to them??

I was wondering about this same thing, as in the pet stores around here they want TONS of money for tiny bits of antlers. I have sheds from white tails. Are Deer antlers the same as say elk antlers? We have no elk here...

I live in Va so all we have are white tail as well. the rack i used was had 4 point on it, the main beam was about 8 inches long. I cut off the tips of the points and sanded the edges and the dogs love them.

We actually have elk in this state, further north though.

OP, I think you'd be fine just cutting off the points and sanding down the edges.

This is awesome, I dunno why I never thought of it. My dad has a ton of racks sitting around at his place.
