Two years ago today was the day I brought home the biggest love bug of a dog, Gottie.
Also it’s his artificial birthday, his probably around 4 years old now

Gottie was rescued from an abusive situation, was with the 'don’t bully my breed organization.' Then he was placed for adoption at a no-kill shelter for over 6 months waiting for us to adopt him and bring him home.

Gottie bonded instantly with our family since the day I went to pick him up from the shelter, this would be the second time I met him, he was thrilled to see me jumping on me and giving kisses. Him being thrilled about meeting people is so out of character for him, which leads me to believe he knew that he was going to be adopted. In fact Gottie is a real life example of eeyoree, he has sad brown eyes and always seems depressed his tail wags on special occasions (new toys, people coming home and meeting new dogs or playing). Anyway back to him being excited to see me when I went to pick him up; while I left him in the play room to do paperwork he sat there patiently waiting for me to return crying by the door. I left the building to put the paper work and food in my car while he was getting a leash put on by the workers, I came back to him to see him choking and crying to go to the door behind me on his hind legs while the worker tried to get him to calm down. This is also out of character for him, he is not a puller. In the car he would not stop giving me kisses; it was as if he was thanking me for adopting him. I kept pushing him off so I can start to drive home but he would come right back and keep kissing me hahah, I even pulled over twice on the dirt road; but eventually he calmed down.

He has been everything my family has wanted in a dog. He was my introduction to the bully world. He is the sweetest, sensitive, saddest, stubborn and the most affectionate dog I have yet to encounter. I love him dearly!
