Default wow... this is so not my week
so sunday night i had this lovely little adventure with a stray/loose dog in my complex by my apartment : http://www.pitbull-chat.com/showthread.php?t=68865

and then today - another one!

I get home from work, go upstairs and leash up my pups w/ a poop bag and go down to the grass to potty.

we'd been out less than a minute when this loose dog makes an appearance w/ these two young kids (aged 13-15 thereabouts) i was going to yell at them to leash their dog, when they yelled at ME: "is this your dog?" sh*t.... another stray. this one looked to be a yellow lab/shepherd mix. he was wagging away and licking the kids so...

i yell back: "no it's not, but could you grab it before he comes over here? maybe see if he has tags?"

they get him and look at his tag, but the crafty butt saw me and my two and charged. now, Babygirl isn't DA, but my little guy is. the kids are running behind him i'm playing soccer with this dog, blocking him and using my legs to keep mine and him seperate. the kids get there and pull him away. i back away and keep my two out of any contact. i call the rabies tag vet clinic on my cell, it was in a different city. the lady asked me if i or the kids could keep the dog til she contacted the owners. i told her we could wait a max of 10 minutes but then the kids had to go home (their mom was calling them) and i had to get to school.

the kids held him til i could go back upstairs, put my two up, and come back w/ one of the leashes. I get the call back - LUCKILY the owner was a recent move in to our complex and had already updated their information. they asked me if i'd tie the dog to their first floor apt patio rail - since he must have got out that way. the owner was at work. *head hand* i get my mom to write a note so i can get my leash back, and i walk the chunky wigglebutt escapee back to the other side of the complex.

we get there and a man comes around the corner and lights up: "oh my god thank you! i was going to go out and look for him again! where was he?" turns out the poor roommate had his hands full when he opened the apt door, and didn't know the dog had escaped the babygate, so when he opened it, the dog took off. i told him it was no big deal, no harm was done. he couldn't stop apologizing and thanking me for catching him and bringing him back. he was worried to have to tell his roommate he'd lost his dog. lol. not nearly such a d-bag as the chihuahua guy

after that, i was late for school so i just called my professor and told him i wasn't making it in.

i hope i've met my doggie karma quota for the week.
