We have an above ground pool with a pool deck and our dogs won't get in it! They love water at the beach, but want nothing to do with the pool. I was concerned about the liner, but we have a really nice set of steps instead of a ladder, so they could get out if they wanted to. I'd just invest in the thickest liner available even though it will cost more.

I have a friend who has two Jack Russells and she sends me the funniest videos of those two knuckleheads in and out in and out!
