My brother owns a bulldog mix that is what everyone expects of one.

His dog is fine with me. I went and made friends the day he got there... He's pretty good with people when they are introduced in a heavily supervised way.

These are the incidents that I know of:
My other brother went to see him, and brought a friend. As soon as the friend stepped foot in there my brother (owner) had to jump the dog, because it went into all out kill mode, it never got to touch the guy, but if it had you can bet he'd be in the hospital. He had to lock him in the garage to make him stop.

I had stayed over again with my niece, she was 7 at the time, we're sitting on the couch and the bulldog jumped up, kinda smelled like hell so I went to push him off and he whipped around to bite me and got my niece's arm, but I got him off before he broke skin. She hasn't been there since.

The owner brother went to get him when he was fence fighting the asshole-neighbor's labs, when he grabbed his scruff the dog went off on him... Which he was quickly beaten for

I was sitting on his couch, I had stayed the night with his GF, you know, no males around , time to make all kinds of chocolate things and watch plenty of Ryan Reynolds movies.. lol
Two of his male friends came over to crash because they were going to a concert in town the next day. One of them tapped the window to get out attention and the dog launched himself over me, and table and onto the back of the couch, and bit clean through their blinds right at the guy's face, he stopped tearing the blinds up when the owners GF yelled at him.

Now I've seen this dog take a big rabbit and literally tear it in half in jut a second or two. If he got ahold of a kid....

The problem is the brother won't work on training, and sure as hell won't put him down... He wants to have a guard dog (won't go into that).

Now, the other 99% of the time, this dog is an angel. He puts up with their ankle biter's shit, can be treated like a ragdoll, and is just lovely, I can roll him over and beat him up and all he loves it, he does that stupid tuck-your-butt-and-run thing all over the house.. If he didn't have this HA streak he'd be a damn-near perfect dog.




I'm just venting this, I can't do shit about it, not my dog, but I'm just waiting for the one time he gets over their fence and rips the throats out of the neighbor's AKC labs and then gets one of the kids for intervening.

And believe me when I say there is no talking to the owner. He knows everything about everything and we all should just shine his shoes.
