So, we have been wondering for a while, ok since we got Buster, what exactly he was. For the past few years we have thought that we was just a Boxer Chocolate lab mix, BUT... today we got the call from the vet with the results from the DNA testing... Come to find out he's not even close to a boxador (cute huh? LOL) it turns out he is a Fila Brasilerio. Which was bred from a mastiff, bloodhound and spanish bulldog... A very beautiful combination, but Buster has more mastif/spanish bull than bloodhound, but he does have some in him. So now I have a Fila Brasilerio, a puggle and a pitoxer. I love my family of doggies.. My next dog will be a cane corso!!!!! I want one so badly!

Yeah and Dawn Capps' CH AKC Amstaff dna tested as a border collie/boston terrier. Those tests are crap, Fila's are an extremely rare breed and short of your dog being tan, doesn't look like one at all. I've had my dog about the same color called a boxer more times than I can count because people associate coloring with breed, seems like those tests maybe go off color genes as well, the amstaff I mentioned is black/white like both breeds it came back as. Your dog looks like a pit/lab mix to me but could be anything although I would bet my life he has zero Fila in him.
This is a fila |
