I am not a fan of Daniel Levy, but I really do not think that he agrees with the caveat he lays out before his statement, i.e. that Israel will never be able to live in peace in the Middle East ever.

Having said that, I heard enough of him, in your video, to make me think that he and I would disagree on most things concerning Israel and probably just about every other topic.

OK I found the full video and unfortunately even in full context it comes out exactly as the segment that Medio presented. It confirms that Daniel Levy IS a fool, not only him but all his J - Street cohorts.

Their general premise seems to be ...

• Ignore history
• Israel and Israelis need to wake up from "their paranoia"
• They will never wake up unless Obama will give them "some tough love"
• Israel has to make concessions and Israel alone has to do so, not the Arabs
• Because it would offend Arab dignity and they just can't and it's unfair etc
• And at the end, he [Daniel Levy ]stuck that offending bit in, as a by the way ...
• But he and all of J street are optimistic bla bla bla

Give me a break ... they are in La La land but unfortunately they are dangerous because a lot of people are not familiar with history and they are good at twisting things around.

I guess they make a good living out of their ideology though. Sad and sick

I tried and was unable to find Medio's clip in context. I posted a much longer clip of Mr. Levy from the same conference to show that Mr. Levy does not believe that it is impossible for Israel to be at peace with its neighbors and hence was not really saying that he considers Israel's existence to be a bad idea.

I myself disagree with Mr. Levy vehemently and believe he is dangerously naive. That said, I think the video this thread is based on is misleading as to Mr. Levy's views. His caveat is ignored by those who wish to demonize him. I would much rather have him castigated for his actual beliefs.

You were on the right track. Daniel Levy said what Medio presented on the same track but right at the end of the talk after each speaker summed up. The reason you probably missed that bit is because after Levy spoke (your video), there was another longish talk by another speaker and then Levy came back and he gave that last very offensive bit (at least I found it offensive AND stupid).

Because of what he said on that video clip, frankly, I find this creature so loathsome and alien that I don't even want to spend any more of my remaining breaths on him. One last thing though, do you think that if we would apply his own philosophy on HIM? If we would tell him that we don't want to accept his own genetic self, for what he IS, NOT for what he does, do you think he might say to himself that it ain't worth existing?

It's one thing to find antiSemites. Its quite another to find these loathsome creatures, as you call them. I think self respecting Jews should take an extremely hard stand against his like or Chomsky or Walt, and the rest of the screw-the-Zionists crowd. There is a direct link between their attack on the free Jews and their self benefit. That for me means a form of Judenräte.

I believe Daniel Levy is dangerously naive in his belief that we can achieve peace by ending the occupation, but do not for a minute believe that he is purposely trying to harm Israel. Maybe I am missing something here? Someone please enlighten me. Thanks.
