Don't get me wrong, I am not excusing him. He is a misguided old man who would do better if he kept his mouth shut. And more than that, he totally mishandled the iranian hostage crisis! But having said that, I think he always sought peaceful solutions and his overall intentions were good, though misguided. As they say, "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"!
