I was wondering how many people know about james f. sensenbrenner and his politics...
From the guy that brought you the RealID act, here comes... a repeal of the 22nd amendment! This got shot down, but its scary to thing it was considered. And the RealID Act should be ratified by all states except north dakota i believe(they will lose all federal funding) by spring 2008... I think this guy is dangerous, and am curious as to know how he gains support for some of this stuff. and for anyone not familiar with the RealID Act.. This is the asshole who shut down the hearing before it was over and the jerk who does not allow the Democrat House members to hold hearings if he doesn't like it. For example they had to have a FORUM in the BASEMENT yesterday on Bush's illegal spying because Sennsenbrenner doesn't want hearings on it.
He should be removed. Government man - we all know what side you are on....of course you want a National ID card. You probably want us to show it as we cross the border of each state too don't you? |

No, what is frightening is ignorant liberals who place facilitating illegal voting by illegal alieans by handing out state-issued identification cards over national security. This act was prompted by states such as California's morally bankrupt attempts to legitimize illegals by issuing them legitimate identification from a government entity. The Federal Government would be criminally negligent to accept for security purposes IDs lacking in certain minimal standards for issuance.

My two mils. I am in favor of a national ID Card, with appropriate safeguards. I am strongly opposed to the method of how it was passed, and especially the companion issures which were attached to it. It should have been a "stand-alone" bill, and completely clean of non-topical ammendements. I hope and pray that when it coms to use. it is struck down by the supreme court.

I don't think this is a good solution to illegal immigration anyway. The same threat exists for fraudulent IDs, and fake credentials to get legitimate IDs. This is just an internal passport. You won't be able to use ANY government service, facility, etc without it. That means no flying, no driving, no bank account, you can't even get a library card without it. And even if it was an ok solution for illegal immigration, it isn't worth the trespass it creates on civil liberties. The dangers of this are limit-less, and the guy writing these bills has already shown his true colors, especially with wanting to repeal the 22nd amendment. He wants a dictator-controlled police state, with his greedy little ass sitting on the throne. The deception is shown with the "trojan-horse" slipping of the bill... And please don't toss me any blanket "liberal" cheap-shots, because for the most part i'm not aligned with them at all. I just think that the liberties this country was founded on are getting torn to shreds by scared people, wanting this illusion of security. What happened to the free and the brave? You can have freedom, or you can have security. You can't have it all. There is no such thing as total securitry. And if you want to get close to it, you are saying goodbye to freedom, and saying hello to 1984, brave new world, nazi germany. "Paper's Please." This is it, the shit has hit the fan. Terrorists are getting what they friggin wanted. Disrupting our way of life.
"Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one." - Thomas Jefferson |
