Default Democratic Duplicity and Hypocricy
THE DRUDGE REPORT has uncovered a photograph of President Bush signing the Patriot Act in the East Room of the White House on October 26, 2001.

And standing over the President’s shoulder with a smile on his face is Democratic Senate Minority Harry Reid (D-NV)!

Reid is currently leading efforts in the Senate to block the renewal of the Patriot Act.

After Reid successfully prevented the Patriot Act’s renewal late last week the Senator attended a Democrat political rally and proudly declared, “We killed the Patriot Act.”

One Republican strategist familiar with the photo said, “Democrats think they can regain the majority? Not a chance if they continue to put politics above what’s best for the country. Harry Reid is making a colossal miscalculation, but it's not the first time and thankfully for us, probably not the last.”

Indeed, it seems to me as if the Surrendercrats are simply playing to their audience and have given up on converting the so-called independent voters and most certainly us righteous Neocons.
Nancy Pelosi said it best after Bush trounced Kerry in the last election when she stated Democrats would just concentrate on the Blue states.
Fine by me, because taking a stand against defending America is not going to get very many Democrats elected.

Actually they don't have to try to convert independants lately, your guy is doing more to drive them away from teh Repubs than anything the Dems could ever do. And why should they even try to convert the likes of you? Talk about a waste of time.

I can say the same about you, but why bother?

Just in time for 2006!

The Democrats are on the decline what with the NSA story and Democrats showing they have no desire to defend America and only want to make political hay.

Katrina turned out to be a plus for Republicans as they saw how stupid Democratic Governors and Mayors can be.

The economy is really surging and that is the main key to 2006
Yup, you guys can wish and want but you know which hand will fill first.

It's go on all fronts for the Republicans and what do the Democrats have to offer?
A better standard of living for Blacks
More taxes for Whites.
OK all you black folks vote for the Democrats
All you White folks who want to protect your property and your famillies vote Republican.
Good deal.
See ya!

Oh I have no doubt this is the way you see it, but most of us don't quite look at things with quite this level of simplicity. Actually your opinions, while somewhat amusing to read the first time, are just so much wishfull thinking. First of all it isn't just a conservative repub or liberal dem choice. OK on the Dem side it may in fact be only a choice of a liberal, buit there are moderate repubs that are viable candidates next time. THat is what you really have to fear, not some silly simpleton liberal running on the Democratic ticket.

People were happy to see King George as resolute after 911, but given the things that we have found out since then that resolution has turned into arrogance in teh eyes of a lot of us. Making mistakes is understandable, and we tend to forgive those that make them in good faith then own up to them once it is clear they in fact did make a mistake. We all knew Bush had made a mistake a long time ago when it came to the reasons for Iraq. Not because the French or Germans told us so, but because our own inspectors that followed the troops in could find the WMD's. Did Bush however deign to admit his mistake to the American people? Nope cause he was afraid it would hurt his re-election campaign, and he was probably right. So instead he maintained he was right until the polls got so bad, because most of us knew better, he had no choice but to admit he made a mistake. Even then the act of contrition wasn't really that, instead it was more of a "ok the original reason I gave you wasn't true but we still did the right thing" speech. Now that might have actually gotten past some of us, I doubt it but hey anything is possible, but when you add the new things it is just too much. Nt only is he now openly flaunting the law but he comes right out and says I will continue to violate the law no matter what you do. SOrry this is arrogance pure and simple, and over the next couple of weeks you will see the poll numbers again tank because of that arrogance.

SO if living in thei rosey world you have created for yourself where conservative Repubs can do no wrong makes you feel all warm and fuzzy, by all means stay there. I would howevr recommend you get your anti depressents ready for Nov. 06 and again in Nov 08. Those of us that aen't ight wing ideologues don't quite have the same view of bubble boy as you do.
