Don't forget, Bush 1 did.

Clinton's investigation was about what happened before he was in office though too. Further, it was about sex, and 2000 innocent Americans didn't die because of it.

Not to get into the whole Clinton thing again, but it was about lying under oath. Which he plainly did.

Well, I don't want to re-litigate the entire Clinton boondoggle.

However, I think we can agree that sending the country to war based on trumped up information is much more serious than lying about a bj.

This issue is directly about the most serious issue for a president, sending young people to die in a foreign land.

True. Back to the topic at hand, I think it is premature to protest what Bush might do.

Who is protesting?

I think we should discuss it ahead of time so he doesn't slip it in under our noses.

To put it into perspective with a modern day affair, the Clinton affair isn't much different than that of the Governor of New Jersey -- McGreevey. To limit the Clinton scandal to "it was just a blowjob" is absurd.

Perhaps you could start a new thread on the matter?

The difference is Clinton didn't give his honey a fat government job in an important security department.

Anywho......

Bush's error has cost 2000 American lives and over 100,000 Iraqi lives.

I thought this was about wondering if Bush will pardon anyone involved in the investigation.

Did I miss the point where we decided to make it about the Monica thing?

Clinton didn't pardon anyone involved in the investigations of his administration.
Here's a list of Clintons pardons...which include letting off cocaine smugglers, theft, fraud (including medicaid fraud), aiding and abetting illegal entry of aliens, embezzlement, forgerty of us treasury checks, distribution of meth,
racketering, armed bank robbery.

So before you deride Bush over something he has yet to do perhaps you should look at your boy clinton.

Great, well, let's use your number then.

28,000 people have died because of Bush's incompetence.

just wanted to be factual and not throw in lies!
and lets not mention when your hero clinton bombed iraqi asprin factories, where was you public outcry then?
lets face one more fact that if a dem took us to war (for the exact same reason as bush) you would not have a single problem with it.

Iraqi aspirin factory? Do you have a source for that?

I thought the supposed aspirin factory was in Sudan, and was controlled by Osama bin Laden.

Remember Osama bin Laden?

AND

Don't ever tell me with what I would or would not have a problem.

Speak for yourself.

Don't ever speak for me.

I don't know how it is in Florida, but in my home state of Wisconsin, parents teach their children that it is impolite to tell people what they think.

We're taught at a very early age, that it is best to ASK.

I'm sorry this wasn't afforded to you.

Interesting advice, Bert.

That is all I will say.

PS - Moderators....

Why was this shoved down the page?

Matt? Another thread that doesn't support your party and it ends up on the bottom of the page......

A cynical person might think......

There appears to be a database problem. The mods cannot re-order threads or posts on a page.

I'd love it if some of our cynical people did think, instead of making silly accusations.

Matt did nothing of the sort. I moved it because it was put improperly into the Today in Politics section.

Will GW do what his dad did? . . . is not breaking news, but a request to muse over something. We even put a sticky there requesting posters to stop dumping off-topic threads there. Please follow it.

Imagine that actually thinking before they post; what a concept.

i will tell you anything i want.
what are you going to do? beat me up?
maybee my parents didnt teach me to be polite or p.c. and maybee yours didnt teach you how to use your mind and not to become a liberal mass media sheep.
on a side note, i am willing to admit that i was wrong. it was not a "iraqi" aspirin factory.
