Well I wasn't referring to YOU.
Why I'm surprised. So you don't respect those you disagree with.

Way to be confused

I have quite alot of respect for Spad, even though I usually disagree with him.

The State of the Union, President Bush will not tell you about in his address to the nation. America ranks number one in the following categories, number of rapes, assaults and total number of crimes committed. http://www.nationmaster.com/country/us/Crime

The United States has over two million people in prisons accounting for nearly 25% of the people in prison in the world today.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/cri_pri#definition

The United States government spends over 276 billion a year on the military that is over 37% of total global military spending according to the CIA.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/mil_exp_dol_fig

The United States ranks number one in the importation of crude oil according to the CIA.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/ene_oil_imp_net

The United States ranks number one in the number of cars per-person.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/tra_mot_veh

The United States ranks number one in the amount of weapons in the world.
http://www.nationmaster.com/graph-T/mil_wea_hol

According to the CIA only the State of Israel and Singapore spend more per person for their military than the United States.

Ah, nearly all of that is good. Was that your point?

Only revolutionary changes in the American and global systems from top to bottom will correct the problem we face today. Such as the right to bare firearms in the Constitution must be change to the right to medical care without losing your home.
Are you saying we should not have a constituional right to bear arms? And what does medical care have to do with losing your home?

The American people are on the verge of a rude awaking when they find out how fragile their system really is in relation to the rest of the world. Everyone knows that there is more tolerance for mistakes and misunderstanding between friends than enemies. The United States standing in the world is probably at the lowest level ever. The fact that the United States is one of the wealthiest nations in the world that owes and is borrowing more money from the international monetary system does not help the situation. The on going federal twin deficits that keep on growing are the biggest threat to our national security. With oil and our military foreign policy playing a major role in these deficits.
Make some good points actually. Our govt. is acting like the majority of the citizen CONSUMERS. Spending beyond their means, living under big debt etc. This WILL catch up to us all eventually and bring us back to reality and the laws of nature.

Those who will defend the wicked policies of the Bush Administration will point back to 9/11 as the Holy Grail. Saying we have been attacked declaring a War on Terror, which is another abstract war that can’t be won in the manner we are going about it. So many of America’s priorities are out of line and so many of the policies are out of balance it is having a compounding negative effect on the global economy.
Not sure exactly WHAT you're saying here. Other than Bush = bad or wicked or whatnot.

The children of the American taxpayers today will inherit the problems and debt of nation. In the past our forefathers left a nation to their children with more assets than liabilities. This may not be said in the future because of the short slightest of many of our government actions and policies. On the current course America and the world is heading it will not be long before the global economy implodes. With so much legalized corruption within the American system today there is little to no hope things will change for the better.
You may be correct. One thing, we as individuals can do, is manage our OWN situations better and not expect the govt. daddy man to cover our butts in the future. If what you're saying DOES happen, those that CURRENTLY think like this will certainly be better situated.

Only revolutionary changes in the American and global systems from top to bottom will correct the problem we face today. Such as the right to bare firearms in the Constitution must be change to the right to medical care without losing your home. The cost of medical insurance coverage is one of the major factors that’s driving the nation into bankruptcy. The rules, laws and enforcement on the lobbyists, loopholes and earmarks must change from night to day. Basically the whole system needs to be turn up side down with many of the leaders of today paying back the system for their self-center acts of greed. For too long America has been led by leaders who are more concerned about their image and pockets than what is in the best interest of the public they serve.

My Blog Global Crier http://www.globalcrier.blogspot.com/
One thing you forgot about medical. How frivolous lawsuits on drs. drive up medical costs. We're such a sue happy people "Hey, easy money. Sue your dr." Greed isn't to be only found in politicians. It's easy and convenient to blame our leaders. Yeah, they're greedy corrupt bastards too (not all though) just like the rest of us. The bill WILL come eventually. The bill from reality and mother nature that is. Their collecters are harsh I understand

Sorry Glock, nothing personal, but I have to agree with Donkey here. There are posters I disagree with but we can have a decent conversation, and then there are morons, on both sides, that just plain offend and rankle, and engender nothing but disgust and contempt. Agreement on positions and respect for a person are not related.

I knew he was referring to me. Donkey does have a quote of mine in his signature, after all. I was simply playing my little game that he falls for every time.

It usually takes something on the order of a 2x4 to clue me in on something, so I'm sure the rest of the forum heard it!

Our elected Federal leaders are so removed from Main Street American while they are working in hollow castles lined with marble and gold. If the Board of Directors in the private sector acted in the same manor as our federally elected officials they would be indicted on a whole host of crimes. Major reform is needed within the government in its relationship to the corporations and Main Street America. The United States Federal Government has over stepped its bounds in its foreign and domestic policies. With too many promises made with many of them about to be broken. The lack of balance and common sense with no real long term planning for what is in the greater interest of society at large. The greed of a few people, have taken over the system to serve their own self-interest.

Most people will agree the system is broken and needs to be fixed. They will blame it on the political party on the other side while defending the political leaders of their party of choice. The people who cry out the loudest against socialism are lining their pockets of cash from government programs. Whether they are a doctor, lawyer, farmer, civil servant, corporate defense worker or a GI trying to collect their veteran’s benefits.

Today so many Americans take so much for granted with no real perspective on what life’s reality is for the majority of the people in the world. The spending habits of the American people and United States government are jeopardizing the future security of the people in the world. The old saying, “Follow the money to solve the crime” this will often bring you back to America. The American people and the people of the world are being raped by the policies and actions of the United States government. Major changes are needed within the American system to make it possible for other nations to change their ways for the better.

When did the State of the Union speech become a sales pitch? I'm sure this has been the case for a long time, but Bush has surely taken this to new lows.

Most idiotic, moron, right-wing posters, that only want to bash anyone who disagrees with them.

I KNOW you're not talkin' 'bout ME

I'd have to say that you're probably the only true left winger that I don't almost totally ignore or just laugh at.

You have, what we on the right call common sense.

That dern stuff

Maybe you could get rich packaging that shit up and selling it to your brethren ?

Just an idea.

There's a HELL of a market for the stuff among ya

Shit.

I probably just made you rich.

Hey, if you need any help formulating or anything, I'm a chemist.
