Well isn't that peachy? Mary and Joe Sixpack, who can barely meet their own economic needs now, will get to finance the health care needs of all those not now covered such as
Sue and Bill who refuse to work; fat Harry, who just loves to eat unhealthy foods, does not exercise, and contracts diabetes because of his slovenly life style; Billy Boy Footlong who contracts sexual transmitted diseases because he is willing to sleep with anything that comes along; and, Mary and Joe will also get to finance Pete the Barfly‘s health care, who has invited liver disease because he drinks himself silly and panhandles rather than works. That is really very big of you, but you meant to conclude by saying, universally enslaved by Washington's political plum job Empire!
Society and or Mary, Joe, already pay for those people but only after the situation become dire.
Now, here is part of my plan:

End the federal tax on earned wages and raise federal revenue from imposts, duties and excise taxes, and, an apportioned tax among the states if any shortfalls occur;

Close down the federal department of education which interferes in a state function;

Close down the National Endowment for the Arts which Congress has created to bribe the homosexual community for its vote;

Close down the small business administration which channels money to big businesses and pays big businesses to leave our country;

And after closing down numerous other unconstitutionally authorized creations of Congress, return their budgets to the states by the rule of apportionment and I’m sure the people within the various states will do just fine providing for their own heal care needs.

The federal government is the problem___ it is not the solution!

Honesly, I do not have the time or words to express just how bad an idea that is. Ending income taxes is unrealistic enough, but excise taxes on imported goods at a point in our history where nations are increasingly interdependent?? What happened to all that free market jazz I keep hearing about from conservatives?? Why don't we all just go back to the gold standard. Sorry chief, but you can't go home again.

But even more importantly, your plan does not address the root causes of today's healthcare issues.
1. The system is extremely inefficent and paper dependant. Claim systems are unique to companies and non-interoperable. Few standards or SLA's exizt. The review process is beauracratic, manual and costly and medical claims adjusters are incented to reject as many claims as possible.
2. Medical providers are not incented to encourage preventative medical practices because the higher margin activites relate to catestrophic treatment are more profitable. Chemo is a perfect example. Without getting too personal, people very close to me passed away not from cancer but from Chemo treatment. I always felt that some would have been better off without undergoing the treatment so I did a bit of research. Chemo is a VERY profitable care practice and I found others who in retrospect felt the same way I did... i.e. wondering if profit was a motivating factor in care as opposed to heath considerations.
