I've also come to the conclusion that drugs should be legalized (albeit in a very tightly controlled manner), but for completely different reasons. It's become such a huge profit center for global organized crime, that it's destabilized entire countries (think Colombia, which is only now getting something of a handle on it, and Mexico), and it causing a huge outflow of cash from the US. This business needs to be pulled out of the underground economy, and out of the control of the drug gangs, denying them the revenue (which is their primary reason for existance.)
