Default Duane Reade hijacked?
I got a very odd call from the Post about 20 minutes ago saying the Duane Reade on 23rd. between 6th. & 7th. had been hijacked. Has any one else heard anything about this?

Hopefully this is resolves shortly. I can't live with only 5 Duane Reade's on 23rd Street.

It's a hoax.

I heard a Duane-Reade ran off with a Walgreen.

Once the NYPost called me and asked me if my refigerator was running.

Another time they called me and asked "Is Mike Hunt there"?

At least the NYTimes doesn't pull this kind of $hit.

After this hijacking... now when you enter a Duane Reade they're going to check your bags, make you take off your shoes... pull you over for questioning....the whole deal. Just to buy a friggin' tube of tooth paste.

The Post must have interns that look into wild call-in stories. I walked by the DR this A.M. and the store looks the same, and the sign says it closes at 6:00 P.M. on Sundays.

....at 3 am and if its a real emergency, sometimes I even go to DR dressed in a bathrobe and slippers....just like Lebowski.

Try it sometime. I recommend it.
