I can't complain. Voting is a snap for me, right around the corner. A few things were different this year.

1. They'll no longer allow me to vote in a bathrobe and flip-flops.

2. There was a line this year. Actually two lines curving around the cul-de-sac. I stood between the two and shouted toward a staff worker, "Which is the Obama and which is the McCain line?" She rushed over and earnestly told me that I didn't have to say who I was voting for.

I got dressed up for this?

I wish I had my camera. Four dogs were leashed to a bike rack outside the building, and they sat there, intently staring through the window at their human friends voting inside.

It would have made a nice democracy-in-action photo.
