I gotta tell you, nothing makes me feel more safe than seeing a bunch of cops standing outside grand central. I mean not only the regular uniformed officers, but the ones carrying high-slung M16 rifles, full flak jackets and 8-ball helmets make me feel right at home.
But the clincher for my feeling of SECURITY and SAFETY was walking into work today and having a guard dog, 6 feet away from me, bark and snap like he wanted a piece of my arm. The only thing that made me feel, after noticeably startled, was the desire to look up how to fend off a dog once he attacks. I guarantee it says nothing about removing the blood stains from your dress shirt... ![]() |

If the dog didnt like you Ninja there must be something about you... Go to China. There you can eat dog, and the police dogs will just eat you. Ah, you know you would be funny if you were not so bigoted, racist and insulting. Wait a minute, you aren't funny. I forgot for a second there. |

Ninja, if you dont lick your fingers loudly after eating dog in China, yes, you would be insulting.
When I'm in China, as I was recently, and I partake in eating dog, I usually have another dog under the table to rub my greasy fingers on its fur. It then licks the dog grease off its fur with great enthusiasm. True story and it beats the hell out of eating Sharks Fin. |

They were also used to rescue people in the WTC ruins.
They live to about 12 years, from my understanding, so I wonder if the same dogs are employed as sniffer/rescue dogs when young and as guard dogs when older? Quite a career. Go to China if you want to see real guard dogs. They begin life as guard dogs eating you and you end up eating them. In New York City, until probably the early 20th Century, dogs were likely used to cart belongings around. Are the 57th Street horses the new dogs? |

I guess horses sand even dogs (which were used to cart people - and still are used to "sled" people) have to be better than this idea:
