Default Musical Message to Michele Bachmann on Jimmy Fallon's Show Angers Women
http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment...er-appearance/

Jimmy Fallon's "Late Night" bandleader decided to send Republican presidential wannabe Michele Bachmann a musical message Monday night that has angered some women.

As Bachmann strode on to the NBC stage on Fallon's late-night show, the program's band, led by Ahmir "Questlove" Thompson, played a snippet of a 1985 Fishbone song called "Lyin' Ass Bitch."

The song begins with a distinctive "la la la la la la la la la" refrain -- the only words that were audible before Bachmann, smiling and waving to the audience, sat down for her interview.

The song itself, about a relationship gone wrong, isn't political. Among its cleanest lyrics: "She always says she needs you, but you know she really don't care."

Bachmann's campaign had no immediate comment, but the snub had some women criticizing "Late Night"'s song choice.

“‪It was completely inappropriate and totally disrespectful. If you are going to invite someone on your show, and enjoy whatever ratings bump you get off it, then you at the very least must treat that person with a minimum level of respect,” said Rachel Sklar, editor at large of Mediaite.com and founder of Change The Ratio, an organization geared toward promoting women. “When I found out the name of the song, my jaw dropped. I love that show and truly expected more from it. I really did.”

Feministing editor Chloe Angyal agreed, adding that the language is unacceptable.

I feel like FoxNews articles are intentionally incendiary with their headlines and try to start fights with people.

Maybe not the best choice to use as a song for someone's walk on but I'll disagree with the feminist in the article - Angyal. She says it's "never okay" to call a woman a bitch. I think there are times when it is appropriate because some women can be bitches (and some men). I've been called a bitch - I don't care. It's just a word.

Feminists...blah. Sometimes they worry about the weirdest things. Was it a bit much as she walked on? Sure. Did they actually call her that? No.

I want to be an editor at FoxNews so I can just make up headlines that fuel the fire. I would make the most random-ass headlines that don't even go with the story!

Aren't these "news" stories great? All I need to do is find a couple idiots, then I can run the headline "Some" People believe X

Another favorite word is "might". A few days ago I saw a Blaze article titled Bakery "might" get sued by lesbian couple, never mind the lesbians in question never actually said anything about suing - the article turned out to just be an interview with the baker blabbing all of her Christian persecution-syndrome speculation about what the couple "might" do.

In this case though, the intent was CLEARLY there. The song was intentionally picked and Questlove tweeted about the selection not once but twice prior to going on the air to ensure that everyone knew that the intent was there so...

Turn this around....would they have done it if it was Hillary? Maybe...depends on who Questlove supported in the primaries. But what can you expect from a typical lefty entertainer douchebag anyways.

In the end it really isn't such a big deal....you know the left is gonna do crap like this, so why be up in arms about it.

On Jimmy Fallon? Probably not. On other shows? Yes - Hilary Clinton got attacked for being a woman during the last elections. When she teared up at some event, people were like "Oh can she handle being President?"

Each side will attack anyone on the other side - whether you're a man or a woman. Was it right? No. Did they all apologize? Yes.

Yeah but no one asks for an apology if you call a male candidate some name. If I was running for President, and that happened to me - a song with "bitch" in the title was played - I'd just laugh it off. I'm pretty sure they've been called FAR worse than that on the campaign trail in person by people against them, especially Bachmann. You have to have a thick skin if you're running for office and especially for President. No facet of your life is off limits.
