Bashing Bush was like shooting dead fish in a small barrell
And it continues.

((although he did make it easy sometimes. I cringed every time he said the word 'nuclear'))

Ok, for the sake of argument (and because the post archive has a limited number of saved posts) you weren't posting regularly but....................

Are you saying that at no time since June 28 of last year you NEVER noticed a thread bashing Bush? If you are claiming that then I am going to have to throw the bullshit flag. Don’t get me wrong, you are of course under no obligation to defend anyone on this forum however your timing in posting this particular thread is suspect.
No, I did not. I had the Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps forums book marked and didn't look anywhere else except occasionally the "religion or not in uniform" forum.

You can raise the bullshit flag, but there'll be no one there to salute it. Had I been posting in this forum then, I would have said the same thing. You can believe what you like, but that's the truth. I did so on other forums where "Shrub" was used, essentially saying the same thing. "Bash the policies, but the hatred against THE MAN HIMSELF is uncalled for."

Talk about Obama's policies all you like, but don't do so with animosity and hatred, and don't make childish insults out of his name. I guarantee I would say the exact same thing about Bush had I partaken in conversation here at the time. If you are not mature enough to debate something without resulting to insults against the person, you're not mature enough to have a valued opinion. Even in talking about the military I have never insulted a specific person, just decisions and actions.

I insulted your response. Not you. I should however, have stated that lunatic fringe opinions are exempt from civility and should be squashed promptly, as they detract from real issues. My post was quite relevent. You brought nothing knew to the table and elected to ignore me because I disagreed.

And we've established my join date already.

Also, how mature is it to ignore someone that disagrees with you and then not even be able to follow through with ignoring them?

The election of President Obama was Historical and polarizing. Historical because of his Racial Heritage and Polarizing due to his ideology.

That's why, whether we love or hate him, he will have his own thread(s).
I'm sure you mean historic but anyway...it could also be said that his eliction was historic because of his Ideology and polarizing because of his racial heritage....what is your point? the fact that I put on my uniform yesterday is a historical fact...that doesn't mean it was important. Now if it were HISTORIC....that would be something different...but alsas it was simply historical and quite trivial...

At some point, on some level, a persons response is connected to the person who made it. It is a little silly to believe (or act like or behave etc) the two are mutually exclusive.

Mutually exclusive? No. But there's a HUGE difference between saying, "That idea or opinion is stupid" and "You're stupid." If you can't handle an idea or opinion being criticized, you're not entitled to one.

Also DAG, no one was saying you couldn't start a thread about the President, only that having AN ENTIRE SUBFORUM DEDICATED TO IT only encourages negativity and hostility.

I see now. You were making an indirect connection between Dag's contributions and that of conspiracy nuts. I'm with you now.

I tried making a connection like that on a thread and confused the hell out of everyone. It happens! I deleted it, and the Original Post disappeared, but per MTF Guidelines it was revived and took on a life of it's own.

Really. So you are playing God now. I thought you were an atheist? What did you mean about your Join date? I copied your entire post, not just a quote, so of course your join date would be there!

(BTW, I've put only 4 people on my ignore list so I can screen them out and read other posts, if I am not logged on I can read your posts, and if I see something to address I usually do. Kind of like you do, only I try to back mine up with references or links, kind of like what you do not do.)
Silverfox is just venting his anger toward conservatives and anyone else he thinks has somehow done him wrong. Like a classic troll, he loves to take the opposing view on everything.

Wow, guess you don't know what the "quote" button is for do you?

There is not constitutional crisis.

Get over it.

Please. I'm more than capable of having a constructive conversation when people have something logical to discuss, and not this imaginary constitutional crisis.
