During the debt debate, President Barack Obama used divisive rhetoric and threats against our most vulnerable citizens to create the impression that his "balanced approach" including job-killing tax hikes was the answer. By fanning the flames of class warfare and threatening to deny grandmothers their Social Security checks, he did get many people to temporarily agree with him. But impressions built on lies do not last long and reality eventually prevails.
